HRH Alhaji Shehu Idris (CFR)
Alhaji Idris is a seasoned
administrator, scholar and a well respected traditional
ruler. In the course of his career, he served in various
positions in the Ministry of Local Government, Zaria
Local Authority council, and Kaduna State Broadcasting Corporation.
HRH is the current Chairman of the
Kaduna State Council of Chiefs and Pro-Chancellor of the
University of Technology, Minna and Chancellor of the
University of Nigeria - Nsuka. The Emir sits on the
Board of UAC and UNIC Insurance PLC.

Mr. Adeboye Shonekan
A lawyer by profession and formerly
worked with IFC before joining NGC in 1995 as the
Executive Director responsible for Materials Management,
Logistics and Import Financing. he became the
Vice-Chairman of the Board on 28 March 1998 and Chief
Executive Officer of the Company on 27 April 1999.

Mr. Samson Osewa
A pharmacist by profession, Mr. Samson
Y. Osewa joined the Company in 1982. He became the
Executive Director in charge of Technical Operations on
28 March 1998 and is responsible for the Pharmaceutical
business.
Finance
Mr. Kayode Popoola
Mr. Popoola is an ICAN Fellow, with over
14 years experience in Finance and Accounts having
worked is several reputable multinational companies. He
also has an MBA. he joined NGC in 2001 as the Chief
Accountant and was elevated to the position of ED
Finance and Accounts on 27 November 2003.
Administration & Legal Affairs
Miss Roseline Etukudo
Ms Etukudo joined NGC PLC in 1993 as Assistant Company
Secretary and became Company Secretary in 1993. Her achievements
led to her assuming responsibility fro HR in 1999 and in
2002 she was elevated to the position of Head of
Administration. Miss Etukudo is a lawyer with over 13
years experience and she also holds an MBA.
NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS
Mr. Emmanuel Ndiokwere
Mr. Ndiokwere holds an M.Sc. degree in Fibre Science and Technology from the University of Leeds. He originally joined the former Hoechst company in 1973 and served until 2001 when he retired as head of the Industrial Chemicals Division. He became an executive director of NGC Board in 1999 and since retiring has continued to serve the company in a non-executive capacity.
Mr. Gbade Balogun
Mr. Balogun is a Chartered Accountant who served for over 25 years in several prominent organisations including Nigerian Breweries and UACN, where he held the position of Managing Director – GBO/MDS before retiring from service.
Alhaji Ahmed Rufai Mohammed
Alhaji Mohammed holds an MBA from Manchester Business School. He is a career administrator with over 25 years in government agencies, including Kano State Investment & Properties Ltd and Kano State Foundation. In 1991 he joined NSITF before in 2002 being appointed to his current position of Managing Director /Chief Executive, NSITF.
Mr. Tom Lindsay (British)
Tom Lindsay has over 40 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry. He has held senior positions in overseas operations of several leading multinational companies, including Hoechst Marion Roussel. In 1995 he left the Hoechst Group to set up TradeLink International Ltd to provide Hoechst with outsourced marketing and distribution in Africa and the Caribbean. This has evolved to providing pharmaceutical companies with management and logistics services, including procurement, technology transfer, recruitment and marketing support. As NGC’s overseas director in residence in London, TradeLink International Ltd serves as NGC’s overseas liaison office.

National Sales Manager - Pharmaceuticals
Mr. B. Inabowa
Benson Inabowa joined NGC in 1993. He served first as a medical representative and then from 1996 as Product Manager before in 1997 becoming Territory Manager (Eastern Region) and later Customer Service Manager (Western Region). In 2002 Benson became National Sales Manager (Pharmaceuticals). He is a Pharmacist and holds an MBA.
National Sales Manager - Consumer Healthcare
Mr. J. Onyeoguzoro
John Onyeoguzoro joined NGC in 1997. He served first as a sales representative and then from 1999 as Territorial Sales Manager – Eastern Region. In 2000, he was promoted to Customer Service Manager (East) responsible for the entire sales operations in the Eastern Region before in 2002 becoming National Sales Manager (Consumer Products). He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree and postgraduate Diploma in Marketing.
Sales Manager - Oilfield Chemicals
Mr. O. Dimeji Akinsola
Dimeji Akinsola is a chemical engineer with over 17 years experience in materials management, procurement and sales of industrial chemicals. He holds a B.Sc degree in Chemical Engineering and an MBA. He is a member of the Institution of Chemical Engineers. He joined NGC in 2000 as the Brand Development Manager and is now the Sales Manager Oilfield Chemicals.
Treasury Manager
Mr. Adekunle Gbarada
Kunle Gbarada holds a degree in Accountancy and is an Associate member of the Chartered Accountants of Nigeria. He has wide experience in tax audit and consultancy acquired during his career working for chartered accountancy firms as well as conglomerates. He joined NGC in January of 2004 as Internal Auditor and assumed the position of Treasury Manager in early 2005.
Production Manager
Mr. Prashant Deshpande
Prashant Deshpande is the Production Manager at NGC’s Otta site. He has held similar positions in India with a number of leading pharmaceutical companies. He holds a Masters in Pharmaceutical Technology from Najpur University, India, as well as an MBA.
Prashant manages a staff of over 100 operatives at the Otta site where he is assisted at the pharma plant, bottled water plant and distribution centre by a strong team of Nigerian managers and other expatriates.

Mrs. N. Nwobi
Mrs. Nwobi has more than 8 years teaching experience and 12 years in Human Resource Management. She has worked with leading conglomerates and consulting firms. Mrs. Nwobi holds a first degree in Education as well as a Masters Degree in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management.
