NGC has vast experience in producing pharmaceuticals for
the Nigerian and sub-Saharan region. From its inception as a
subsidiary of Hoechst AG, to its current independent position,
NGC has developed a pharmaceutical manufacturing plant that is
one of the most advanced within sub-Saharan Africa.
NGC's pharmaceutical plant, based in
Otta, currently
has an installed capacity of 1.5 billion tablets per year.
This capacity is being expanded through an ongoing process.
The first quarter of 1999 saw the introduction of a liquid
processing plant, to increase the facilities diversity.
Through these facilities, NGC produces, under
license pharmaceuticals on behalf of a number of blue chip
partners companies. These include Pfizer and Solvay Pharma.

Agrochemicals
Through partnership with
leading agrochemical
companies, NGC is currently producing and distributing a range
of agrochemicals within Nigeria.
NGC offers a range of safe and cost effective herbicides,
fungicides and insecticides, including: Atrazine,
Cypermethrin and 2,4-D Amine.
NGC's experienced technical staff are committed to
providing its overseas partners with the professional support
necessary to increase market share through field trials and
scientific promotion.
Veterinary /
Animal Healthcare
NGC provides a comprehensive range of veterinary products
that protect against serious animal diseases and parasite
infestation.
Products marketed include anthelmintics, ecto-parasite remedies,
anti-infectives, anti rabies vaccines and fed additives.
International brands include Berenil®,
Panacur®, Trimisol® and
Flavomycin®.

Oil &
Gas
NGC Oil Services Ltd., is a subsidiary of NGC providing
speciality chemicals to the petroleum and related industries.
In conjunction with TR Oil Services Ltd., NGC provides
effective, innovative and cost efficient solutions to the
problems encountered in the areas of exploration, crude oil
production, refining, transportation, storage, hydro-testing
and simulation.
NGC Oil Services Ltd., offers a range of demulsifiers, flow
improvers, biocides, corrosion inhibitors, flocculants, scale
inhibitors, wax inhibitors and reverse demulsifiers.
Household Consumer
Products
NGC aims to be a leading force in West Africa for the
manufacturing and distribution of household consumer products.
In collaboration with the United Kingdom's Jeyes Group, NGC
manufactures and markets disinfectants, insecticides,
detergents, bleaches, personal care products, hygiene products and air
fresheners under the Parozone®, Jeyes Fluid® and
Bloo® brands.
Industrial
Chemicals
NGC's vision is to maintain it's leading position as a
major manufacturing chemical corporation, providing chemical
manufacturing and process industries with high quality
products, adapting licensed-in technology to local conditions.
NGC's speciality industrial chemicals form part of the raw
materials input for a wide range of industries.
- Textile Auxiliaries: a wide range of products
employed in processing of textile fabrics from the fibre
stage to the final finishing of the fabric.
- Pigment Preparations: include pigment pastes marketed
under the Engiron-NT® brand for use in the
production of paints, detergents/soaps and printing inks;
Engiron-T® grades are specially adapted for textile printing.
- Polyvinyl Acetate Dispersions marketed under the
Engilith® brand are bindings for paints and
adhesives.
- Stiffening agents based on
polyvinyl acetate dispersions and marketed under the
Stiftan® brand are used for finishing textile
fabrics.
