Alhaji Muhammadu had been on the Board
of NGC PLC since 1979 and became the Chairman of the
Board in 1993. The Emir played a key role in
nurturing this dynamic company from its earliest times
and will always be honoured for his stewardship and
guidance.
During his many years of office the Company has
evolved into one of Nigeria's premier manufacturers and distributors of
pharmaceutical, consumer products an oil & gas field
chemicals.
All at NGC and every shareholder would
like take this opportunity to express our heartfelt gratitude to him
for all his endeavors during his time of office and to
wish
him well in his retirement.
He leaves the Company in great strength, poised to achieve
greater success.

CELEBRATIONS
To mark 40 years of success, July (2004) saw NGC
celebrate its achievements through a number of functions
centered around the 2004 AGM, which took place at the
Sheraton Hotel, Lagos on 8th July 2004.
40th Anniversary Reception
To honor the achievements of the senior management of
NGC over the last 40 years, on the eve of the 40th AGM, Chief (Dr.) E.A.O.
Shonekan C.B.E, a senior shareholder in the Company, held a
celebratory dinner where both current and past board
members could reflect on their accomplishments.
NGC Board Visit Pharmaceutical & Beverage
Plant
As part of our celebrations, the Board of Directors made
a tour of our Otta Factory, to see for themselves the
ongoing developments within the plant, including our new
Sparwasser filling line and extended tabletting
facilities.
40th AGM & Awards
The 40th Annual General Meeting, was met with acclaim
from its participating shareholders as NGC posted
profitable accounts allowing for a dividend of 30 kobo
per share.
The 40th AGM also witnessed the award of commemorative
gifts to all NGC's long standing executives who have
worked tirelessly to ensure NGC's continued growth and
development, as well as special achievement awards given
out to selected employees.

LAUNCH OF
SPARWASSER

July 2003 saw NGC expand into the beverage market with
the launch of its own brand of bottled water,
Sparwasser.
Sparwasser is filled, bottled and distributed from NGC's
own liquid line within it's
factory in Otta.

Processed and purified though a range
of advanced treatments, Sparwasser is
not only safe for all drinking requirements, but is also
a clean tasting thirst quencher.
PFIZER AWARD
NGC was the proud recipient of the Pfizer Healthcare
Division 2002 Agent of the Year award (Export Region).
This award was in recognition of the significant
progress made by NGC in the production and distribution
of a range of Pfizer products including Benylin.
